WHILE WE ALL RECOGNIZE JUNE 6TH as the anniversary of one of history's most famous battles, some of the biggest heroes of the D-Day landings in Normandy, France in 1944 were the more than 20,000 paratroopers, who actually departed bases in England late on June 5 so they could make their jump just after midnight the next morning.

Aviation artist J. Biggadike has perfectly captured the scene high above the French coastline, as Dakota C-47 Dakota military transport planes flying above the clouds are lit by a full moon and flak explosions.

Our exclusive version of this awe inspiring image is produced on three panels made of thick wood right here in the USA.  This heirloom quality art is reinforced with z-shaped barn door style support slats to prevent warping over time.
